Our
software development department has a wide
range of capabilities.
We have the ability to work with a large variety
of processors, as well as writing software
for Windows environments and the Palm OS. Our
software developers are familiar with writing
firmware at the hardware level, or under
any type of Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
environment.
We have in-depth experience with the Freescale
Semiconductor (formerly Motorola) line of processors.
The majority of new products we have designed
use the Freescale Semiconductor HCS12 line
of processors. This isn’t to say we are
limited to using Freescale processors, just
that we are most proficient with the Freescale
product line.
In the case
of a redesign of an older board, our software
department has experience in
converting the code from an older processor
to work with a newer processor.
For some of
the more advanced products we have designed,
we have incorporated the ability
to program and update the product’s
firmware. This can be done with a palm pilot
or with a small flash card. This type of
firmware
implementation
allows for quick and easy updating of a product
in the field by the end customer if necessary. |
